Description

The quality of a composite drone airframe is entirely dependent on the quality of the mold it is laid up in. I am a highly skilled Tool and Die Maker who specializes in fabricating the ultra-precise molds, dies, and jigs required for advanced manufacturing.

I. Machining complex, multi-cavity press molds and stamping dies on manual lathes and milling machines, holding IT6 and IT7 tolerances.
II. Operating surface and cylindrical grinding machines to achieve mirror finishes on mold cavities and critical mating surfaces.
III. Hand-fitting, lapping, and polishing tool steel components using diamond pastes of various grits to ensure flawless part release.
IV. Reading intricate tooling blueprints and geometric templates to fabricate custom inspection gauges and calibration fixtures.
V. Sharpening and profiling form tools, reamers, and specialized end mills for machining hardened tool steels (e.g., D2, H13).

Between 2016 and 2022, I worked in the tool room of a composite manufacturing facility, where I built the master molds for hot-forming carbon fiber UAV fuselage halves. I also fabricated a set of precision go/no-go gauges for inspecting the aerodynamic profile of fixed-wing drone wings. Recently, I developed an accelerated polishing technique using progressive diamond compounds, extending the lifespan of our production molds by 20%.

I hold a diploma in Tool and Die Making and possess an exceptional eye for microscopic surface finishes. I am seeking a full-time role in a precision manufacturing environment in Munich, Germany, with a target salary of €58,000 EUR.
