Training soldiers to survive the golden hour on the battlefield requires more than just classroom lectures; it demands stress inoculation and real-world tactical intuition. As a certified TCCC instructor and combat veteran, I bridge the gap between medical theory and the dirt, smoke, and chaos of the frontline.
1. Conducting intensive practical exercises in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for Combat Lifesavers (CLS) and All Service Members (ASM), focusing on massive hemorrhage control, airway management, and tension pneumothorax decompression.
2. Designing and overseeing high-stress simulation lanes where students must apply tourniquets and pack wounds under simulated enemy fire, complete with noise, smoke, and time pressure.
3. Auditing and optimizing the contents of Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK) and group medical rucksacks to ensure they meet the evolving threats of modern warfare.
For the past two and a half years, I have served as a lead instructor at a military training center, personally guiding over 600 assault and airborne troops before their deployments. Drawing on my own experience as a medical evacuation crew member in active combat zones, I developed an adapted night-time casualty care curriculum. By integrating Night Vision Goggles (NVG) into our TQ application drills, I reduced the average time it takes for a student to apply a combat tourniquet in total darkness by 15 seconds.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and maintain active instructor certifications in TCCC CLS and tactical mine-awareness. I am seeking a full-time position at a premier defense training facility in Fayetteville, NC, targeting $68,000 USD.
