Opis
Designing the physical layout for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems requires a deep understanding of electromagnetics, signal integrity, and thermal management. I am an RF PCB Design Engineer who translates complex schematic requirements into manufacturable, high-frequency printed circuit boards.
a) Routing multi-layer PCBs in Altium Designer and KiCad, specifically focusing on impedance-controlled coplanar and microstrip lines for RF paths ranging from 400 MHz to 6 GHz.
b) Designing robust power distribution networks, including reverse-polarity protection, heavy-current filtering, and EMI shielding strategies.
c) Selecting and integrating active/passive RF components (MMIC amplifiers, VCOs, attenuators) based on rigorous datasheet analysis.
d) Generating production-ready Gerber X2 files, drill maps, and comprehensive BOMs for overseas PCB fabrication houses.
During my three years at a defense electronics enterprise, I independently developed four distinct PCB revisions for trench-mounted jamming generators. By optimizing the thermal vias and copper pours beneath the high-power RF amplifiers, I significantly improved the heat dissipation of the units. I also designed custom bandpass filters to suppress harmonic emissions, ensuring our systems met strict regulatory and operational masks. Furthermore, I managed the supply chain for these boards, successfully sourcing alternative components during global semiconductor shortages.
I hold a Master's degree in Telecommunications and Radio Engineering, along with an advanced certification in High-Speed PCB Design. I possess my own licensed copy of Altium Designer and am fully equipped to work remotely. I am seeking a remote-friendly engineering role with a European defense contractor, targeting €72,000 EUR.
