Description
Understanding the electromagnetic spectrum is the first step in dominating it. I am an RF Spectrum Analyst and SIGINT Engineer with a deep passion for dissecting complex radio frequency environments and identifying the signatures of hostile unmanned systems.
During my three years at an R&D center focused on electronic reconnaissance, I specialized in monitoring and classifying drone telemetry, video downlinks, and control signals. I worked extensively with SDR platforms like HackRF, LimeSDR, and RTL-SDR, utilizing GNU Radio and Universal Radio Hacker (URH) to decode proprietary frequency-hopping algorithms. One of my major achievements was reverse-engineering the control link of a new reconnaissance UAV, which allowed our team to update the jamming profiles of our trench-based EW systems within 48 hours.
I am also highly experienced in RF propagation modeling. Using Radio Mobile, I developed interactive coverage maps that predicted the effective jamming radius of dome-style EW units based on antenna height and local terrain. In a recent field test, I successfully triangulated a hidden RF transmitter within a 50-meter accuracy zone using directional Yagi antennas and spectrum analyzers.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Radio Engineering and Telecommunications, along with a specialized certificate in SDR and Digital Signal Processing. I am comfortable reading complex technical datasheets in English and writing Python scripts to automate the analysis of large spectral datasets. I am seeking a full-time, on-site engineering role in Ottawa, ON, with a target compensation of $85,000 CAD.
