Description

My career in unmanned systems has been defined by time spent in the mud, wind, and rain of remote testing ranges, ensuring that theoretical flight profiles translate into reliable operational reality. I specialize in the field testing, telemetry analysis, and post-flight diagnostics of both fixed-wing and multirotor tactical platforms.

Between 2020 and late 2022, I worked as a field test engineer for a private aviation design bureau. My daily routine involved planning rigorous test matrices based on technical specifications, managing restricted airspace permissions, and executing complex flight profiles. I conducted everything from basic takeoff and landing checks to autonomous waypoint missions and emergency failsafe recoveries. After every flight, I extracted the Blackbox logs and analyzed them in Mission Planner and QGroundControl, scrutinizing IMU vibration signatures, motor current draws, and battery voltage sag under load.

Since early 2023, I have been contracting with a defense enterprise to prepare and validate FPV and reconnaissance quadcopters. I am responsible for the pre-flight safety checklists, verifying mechanical integrity, firmware versions, and RF link stability. One of my key contributions was identifying a systemic PID tuning issue that caused altitude drift in cold weather; by analyzing the barometric pressure logs and adjusting the thermal compensation parameters, I eliminated the issue across the entire test fleet.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Control Systems and am highly proficient with oscilloscopes, RTL-SDR spectrum analyzers, and Excel for manual telemetry processing. I am meticulous about range safety protocols and never authorize a flight without a completed pre-flight checklist. I am seeking a full-time, on-site role at a flight test facility in Bristol, UK, with a target salary of £45,000.
