I build the bones of tactical drones. Working with carbon fiber and fiberglass requires a specific kind of patience; you cannot rush the epoxy, and you cannot ignore a microscopic void in the layup. I specialize in assembling and validating the structural frames of multirotor and fixed-wing UAVs.

My background started in custom furniture and interior manufacturing, where I spent 2019 to 2021 mastering composite materials, resin mixing, and precision sanding. Realizing my passion for aerospace, I moved to a UAV production facility in Bristol in early 2022, where I currently work as a senior airframe assembler.

On the shop floor, my primary responsibility is taking flat sheets of pre-preg carbon and transforming them into rigid, geometrically perfect chassis. I meticulously cut, align, and bond the arms, central plates, and motor mounts. I use specialized jigs to ensure that every mounting hole for the flight controller and gimbal is drilled with sub-millimeter accuracy. A misaligned motor mount by even a fraction of a millimeter will introduce vibrations that ruin the IMU data, so I spend a lot of time with digital calipers and alignment templates.

I am highly experienced with structural adhesives, heat-shrink tubing for internal wiring protection, and finishing techniques that reduce drag. I own my own set of precision measuring tools and composite hand-tools. I am looking for a steady, full-time role in a climate-controlled assembly hangar in Bristol, UK, with a target salary of £38,000.
