Description

A modern, bustling brasserie in the vibrant Jordaan district of Amsterdam is looking for a skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our hot and cold sections. Our menu celebrates modern European flavors with a focus on sustainable, locally sourced seafood and meats. We need a reliable cook who can handle the pace of a busy service while maintaining strict quality control.

a) Executing prep lists with precision, ensuring all ingredients are portioned, labeled, and dated according to HACCP guidelines.
b) Managing your designated station during service, cooking dishes to order, and ensuring perfect plating and garnishing before the pass.
c) Monitoring stock levels on your section, communicating shortages to the Sous Chef, and assisting with weekly inventory counts.
d) Maintaining an immaculate workstation, sanitizing surfaces regularly, and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly post-service.
e) Adapting to cross-training opportunities, learning both the cold appetizer and hot main course stations to become a versatile team member.

We require a minimum of 1 year of professional kitchen experience, ideally in a high-volume European brasserie or bistro. You must possess a valid food handling certificate, a strong understanding of kitchen safety, and the ability to take direction well. Speed, consistency, and a calm demeanor during the dinner rush are non-negotiable.

We pay a competitive wage of €38,000 EUR annually, inclusive of holiday allowance. Our kitchen offers a healthy work-life balance with structured shifts, a closed kitchen on Mondays, and a family meal before every service. Join us to refine your culinary skills in a supportive, creative environment.
