Description

An intimate, minimalist specialty coffee shop in Seattle's Capitol Hill is looking for a dedicated Third-Wave Barista to anchor our morning and afternoon rushes. We roast our own beans in-house and focus on direct-trade, single-origin micro-lots. We need a coffee nerd who understands the science of extraction, can dial in the grinder to the exact second, and is eager to educate our regulars on the nuances of a naturally processed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

a) Pulling flawless espresso shots, texturing milk to a velvety microfoam for intricate latte art, and serving pour-overs with precision.
b) Educating customers on our rotating seasonal blends, brewing methods (V60, Chemex, Aeropress), and selling whole beans for their home setups.
c) Maintaining the immaculate cleanliness of the La Marzocco espresso machine, Mythos grinders, and the entire wet bar.
d) Managing the daily cash drawer, processing mobile orders, and ensuring the pastry case is beautifully merchandised.

You must have at least 1 year of experience in a specialty coffee environment and hold a basic SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) understanding. A genuine love for coffee and a patient, friendly demeanor are non-negotiable. We offer a starting wage of $22/hour, paid breaks, comprehensive health coverage, and paid cupping sessions with our head roaster to expand your palate.
