Description

A premier, full-service business hotel in downtown Chicago is looking for a reliable and energetic AM Breakfast Cook to lead our morning culinary operations. We serve a massive, high-quality hot breakfast buffet to hundreds of corporate travelers and tourists every single day. We need a morning person who can manage the chafing dishes, flip hundreds of eggs to order, and keep the pass looking immaculate from 5 AM onwards.

➤ Preparing and replenishing the hot buffet items: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, oatmeal, and made-to-order omelets.
➤ Baking fresh muffins, pastries, and waffles in-house, ensuring the bakery display is fully stocked and visually appealing.
➤ Managing the morning prep list, receiving daily food deliveries, and organizing the walk-in coolers according to health department standards.
➤ Breaking down the breakfast station at 11 AM, cleaning all equipment, and prepping the line for the lunch shift.

You must have at least 1 year of experience in a hotel kitchen, banquet facility, or high-volume breakfast restaurant. A valid Food Handler's certificate is mandatory. We offer a salary of $40,000 USD, a consistent 5 AM to 2 PM schedule (no late nights!), paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package.
