A vibrant, design-led boutique hostel in Berlin's Kreuzberg district is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain our pristine environment. We host a diverse mix of international backpackers, digital nomads, and creative groups, meaning our turnover rate is high and our standards must remain flawless. You will be the unsung hero ensuring every guest walks into a fresh, welcoming, and hygienic space.
1. Executing rapid yet thorough daily cleaning of private en-suite rooms and multi-bed dormitories, focusing on high-touch surfaces and mattress sanitization.
2. Deep cleaning and disinfecting high-traffic communal zones, including the shared gourmet kitchen, lounge areas, co-working spaces, and communal shower facilities.
3. Managing the linen cycle: stripping beds, sorting soiled laundry, coordinating with our external industrial laundry service, and making beds with hospital-corner precision.
4. Monitoring and restocking consumable supplies across the property, from eco-friendly hand soaps and toilet paper to complimentary coffee and tea stations.
5. Performing end-of-shift waste sorting and recycling, ensuring the property remains environmentally sustainable and visually spotless.
Professional requirements and personal traits:
1. Prior experience in hospitality housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or residential turnover is highly preferred, though we will train highly motivated individuals.
2. Exceptional time management skills, physical stamina, and an eagle eye for spotting stray hairs, smudges, or maintenance issues.
3. A friendly, approachable demeanor when crossing paths with guests in the hallways, coupled with strict adherence to privacy protocols.
Employment conditions and perks:
1. A stable hourly wage translating to €32,000 annually, with reliable bi-weekly direct deposits.
2. A full-time, on-site role with a fixed 2-on/2-off shift pattern (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), giving you ample time to enjoy the city.
