Description

The iconic, velvet-draped lobby lounge of a five-star heritage hotel in Mayfair, London, is seeking an elite Bartender to elevate our evening beverage service. We cater to a discerning clientele of international dignitaries, celebrities, and luxury travelers. We require a polished mixologist who can craft flawless classic cocktails, pour rare vintages with reverence, and engage in sophisticated, discreet conversation.

+ Curating and executing an extensive menu of pre-Prohibition classics, modern molecular mixology creations, and bespoke off-menu drinks tailored to guest preferences.
+ Preparing artisanal garnishes, clarifying juices, and fat-washing spirits in our prep kitchen to ensure every drink is a visual and aromatic masterpiece.
+ Providing impeccable, anticipatory service at the marble bar top, remembering regulars' preferences, and guiding guests through our rare spirits and vintage champagne list.
+ Managing the lounge's high-value inventory, conducting precise weekly stocktakes of premium liquors, and minimizing spillage and waste.
+ Maintaining the pristine shine of our crystal glassware, polishing silver bar tools, and ensuring the lounge ambiance (lighting, music) remains perfect.

Your professional pedigree:
+ At least 2 years of experience behind the bar of a luxury hotel, high-end cocktail lounge, or Michelin-starred restaurant.
+ Encyclopedic knowledge of spirits, classic cocktail ratios, and wine pairings, paired with exceptional English communication skills.
+ A refined, professional appearance, unflappable grace under pressure, and a deep understanding of five-star hospitality etiquette.

The package we offer:
+ A base salary of £38,000 GBP, significantly enhanced by a generous discretionary service charge and cash tips.
+ A full-time, on-site role with a sophisticated shift pattern (e.g., 4-on/3-off, predominantly late afternoon to midnight).
+ Dry-cleaning allowance for your suits, complimentary meals in the staff dining room, and the prestige of working at one of London's most exclusive addresses.
