📊 Strategic Risk Assessment Role

A leading national health insurance provider is expanding its underwriting team and looking for an analytical, detail-oriented Health Insurance Underwriter. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape our risk portfolios and design bespoke corporate health plans.

🔍 Your Core Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and underwrite medical insurance risks for both corporate groups and individual applicants.
• Analyze medical statistics, demographic data, and historical claims to calculate accurate premium rates and risk loads.
• Structure customized group health insurance programs, defining coverage limits, exclusions, and waiting periods for large corporate clients.
• Monitor the loss ratio and profitability of the active medical insurance portfolio, implementing corrective strategies to optimize financial performance.
• Collaborate with product development teams to design and launch innovative voluntary health insurance (VHI) products.

🎓 Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a medical underwriter or VHI coordinator.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, medical procedure costs, and pharmaceutical pricing.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA) for handling massive datasets.
• Strong analytical mindset, high self-discipline, and meticulous attention to detail.
