An innovative IT product company specializing in business automation is looking for a skilled Middle Python Developer to join our engineering hub in Toronto.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain scalable backend web services using FastAPI and Django.
• Design and build efficient RESTful APIs, integrating with third-party systems and payment gateways.
• Write clean, maintainable, and highly optimized queries for PostgreSQL databases.
• Ensure platform stability by covering your code with robust unit and integration tests (PyTest).
• Actively contribute to architectural discussions, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
🎓 Required Skills:
• 2+ years of commercial Python development experience using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL), ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM), and raw SQL optimization.
• Practical experience with task queues and asynchronous processing (Celery, Redis).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Docker Compose).
• Proficient with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, teamwork skills, and a passion for learning new technologies.
