We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure high availability, security, and performance optimization of our database servers in our Seattle office.
💾 Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, monitor, and support PostgreSQL and MySQL RDBMS in a production environment.
• Design, configure, and manage data replication systems (Streaming Replication, Master-Slave).
• Optimize database server performance, analyze, and accelerate complex SQL query execution.
• Develop and regularly test backup and recovery strategies (Backup & Recovery) and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage access rights, control data security, and audit user activity.
🛠️ Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL architecture and practical experience in fine-tuning configurations.
• Excellent SQL skills, experience analyzing execution plans (EXPLAIN) and optimizing indexes.
• Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS) and scripting in Bash/Python.
• Understanding of high-availability cluster solutions (Patroni, HAProxy) is a strong advantage.
