We need a turnaround and integration expert to seamlessly merge this new technology into our existing workflow without disrupting current client shipments.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Full Operational Ownership: Direct all production floors, warehousing, the Chief Engineer, Quality Control (QA/QC), and the logistics hub.
• Cost Reduction: Target a 12% reduction in cost-per-ton through energy optimization, scrap yield improvement, and defect reduction.
• Lean Implementation: Roll out Lean Manufacturing principles, specifically targeting the packaging, labeling, and dispatch stages.
• Automation: Lead the full automation of finished goods inventory using RFID and handheld data terminals.
• Labor Relations: Navigate complex union environments and foster a high-morale, zero-conflict shop floor culture.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Heavy industrial or metallurgical engineering background with executive manufacturing experience.
• Deep expertise in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Lean/Six Sigma, and CAPEX integration.
• Ability to balance aggressive sales demands with strict preventive maintenance schedules.
• Comfortable walking the shop floor in PPE, yet polished enough to present ROI models to the Board of Directors.
