Description

A boutique custom home building company in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a versatile Residential Construction Lead. We build high-quality, energy-efficient single-family homes and ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units) from the ground up. We need a true generalist who can handle everything from pouring the foundation to framing the roof, ensuring every phase meets our strict quality standards.

What the job entails:
* Executing all phases of residential construction: site layout, concrete formwork, rebar tying, and pouring footings/slabs.
* Framing exterior walls, interior partitions, and roof systems using dimensional lumber and engineered wood products.
* Installing windows, exterior doors, and applying weather-resistive barriers (house wrap) and flashing.
* Hanging drywall, taping, mudding, and preparing surfaces for the finish painters.
* Reading and interpreting architectural and structural blueprints, ensuring all framing matches the engineered plans.

Who we are looking for:
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in residential construction, with a strong background in both concrete and carpentry.
* Proficiency in using layout tools (total stations, laser levels) and power tools (miter saws, nail guns, reciprocating saws).
* Solid understanding of the International Residential Code (IRC) and local Raleigh building codes.
* Physical stamina, reliability, and a strong work ethic; you must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
* Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to field conditions while maintaining structural integrity.

What we offer:
* A competitive salary of $75,000 USD per year, with opportunities for overtime.
* Full-time, on-site position at our active building lots in the Raleigh-Durham area.
* A fully stocked company truck with all necessary power tools and heavy equipment.
* Health insurance, paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
* A clear path to becoming a Project Manager or Superintendent as our company grows.
