Description

Our mechanical division in Vancouver is currently managing the MEP packages for several high-rise residential and mixed-use towers. We need an MEP Construction Superintendent to oversee the installation of complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role requires a technical leader who can coordinate multiple trades in tight shaft spaces and ensure the systems are installed perfectly before the ceilings are closed.

You will be managing the daily activities of our in-house pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and subcontractors. Your duties include coordinating the hoisting of heavy equipment (chillers, AHUs, pumps), managing the installation of complex pipe racks, and ensuring all ductwork is sealed and insulated to spec. You will also oversee pressure testing, duct leakage testing, and the final commissioning process, working closely with the building automation systems (BAS) team.

We require a candidate with a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related trade, with at least 6 years of experience as an MEP superintendent on large commercial projects. You must have a strong grasp of BC building codes, seismic bracing requirements, and energy efficiency standards. The ability to read and coordinate complex MEP drawings using Navisworks is a major advantage.

We offer a salary of $90,000 CAD per year, plus a comprehensive executive benefits package. You will receive a company vehicle, a gas card, and a phone allowance. This is a strictly on-site role at our active high-rise projects in downtown Vancouver, requiring your physical presence to manage the intricate logistics of vertical construction.
