I’ve spent the last eight years building homes from the dirt up in the Denver metro area. My career started in 2015 as a framer for a high-volume production builder, where I learned how to snap chalk lines fast, read roof plans, and swing a hammer until my hands calloused. By 04.2018, I moved to a custom home builder, which completely changed my approach. There, every cut had to be perfect, and every wall had to be dead plumb. I handled everything from forming and pouring complex footings to standing up heavy timber frames and installing standing seam metal roofs.
For the past three years, I’ve been working as a lead carpenter for a boutique design-build firm. I manage a small crew of two or three, coordinating the entire envelope process. I’m highly proficient with Hilti powder-actuated tools, Skilsaw circular saws, and laser rotary levels. I know how to read architectural and structural blueprints, identify potential clashes before they happen, and ensure the framing meets the International Residential Code (IRC) without failing inspection. I take pride in building structures that are square, level, and built to last. I’m seeking a long-term role with a quality-focused builder in Denver, targeting a salary of $75,000 USD. I have my own truck loaded with tools and I’m ready to work full-time on-site.
