I’ve spent the last six years working with steel, concrete, and heavy machinery across various industrial and commercial sites in Alberta. My background is rooted in hands-on construction, starting as a helper and working my way up to a lead erector.
Between 03.2017 and 11.2020, I was part of a crew that specialized in erecting pre-engineered metal buildings and heavy structural steel for warehouses. My daily tasks involved reading complex KM and KMD drawings, rigging loads, and signaling crane operators to set columns and trusses. I’m also certified in structural welding (MIG and FCAW), which allowed me to tack and weld connections on the deck.
Since early 2021, I’ve been working on large-scale concrete and steel projects, including logistics hubs. I’m highly experienced in using total stations and laser levels to plumb and align heavy members, as well as installing metal decking and securing it with shear studs. I hold a valid ticket for working at heights and rigging. I’m seeking a permanent role with a major steel contractor in Calgary, expecting around $75,000 CAD. I’m physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to work in all weather conditions.
