Opis

My career in precision machining has been built on the shop floor, turning raw metal into mission-critical components for the defense sector. I am a classically trained machinist who still believes in the irreplaceable value of manual machine tools for low-volume, high-complexity prototyping and tooling.

- Operating manual engine lathes (South Bend, Monarch) and vertical milling machines (Bridgeport) to produce intricate, one-off aerospace and defense components.
- Machining high-strength alloys, titanium, and stainless steels, calculating exact feeds and speeds to prevent work hardening and tool breakage.
- Independently grinding my own HSS and carbide cutting tools on the bench grinder to achieve the exact geometry needed for specific internal profiles and threads.
- Holding extremely tight tolerances (down to 0.0002 inches) on critical fits, using dial indicators, micrometers, and bore gauges for in-process verification.

From 2018 to 2021, I worked in the experimental tooling department of a heavy machinery plant, where I fabricated custom jigs and fixtures for assembly lines. Since early 2022, I have been machining high-precision shafts and housings for UAV drivetrains, achieving bearing seat tolerances within 8 microns. I take immense pride in my work, having reduced the scrap rate on my section from 2.5% to 0.1% by implementing rigorous intermediate measurement protocols.

I hold a diploma in Machining Technology and possess a deep understanding of metallurgy and cutting dynamics. I am looking for a stable, full-time role in a climate-controlled machine shop in Windsor, ON, targeting $65,000 CAD annually.
