In the world of aerospace manufacturing, a poorly optimized toolpath can cost thousands of dollars in scrapped titanium. I am a CNC Programmer and Setup Operator who specializes in squeezing maximum efficiency and precision out of 3- and 4-axis machining centers.
* Setting up and running Haas VF and DMG Mori DMU series mills with Fanuc and proprietary controls.
* Writing and editing G-code/M-code directly at the controller, as well as generating complex 3D toolpaths in Mastercam and SolidCAM.
* Utilizing Renishaw probing systems for automated part alignment, tool breakage detection, and in-cycle dimensional verification.
* Machining exotic materials, including Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5 titanium), 7075-T6 aluminum, and 17-4 PH stainless steel.
Between 2017 and 2020, I worked at an instrumentation plant, machining complex servo housings and flanges for UAV navigation systems. In 2021, I spearheaded an initiative to optimize the Mastercam toolpaths for cooling heat sinks used in EW (Electronic Warfare) units, which reduced cycle times by 18% and extended tool life. Currently, I am managing the serial production of titanium mounting brackets for reconnaissance drones.
I hold a degree in CNC Manufacturing Technology and an advanced certification from Haas Automation. I am seeking a full-time position in a high-tech defense manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL, with a target salary of $72,000 USD.
