Designing the RF front-end for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems is a high-stakes game where every decibel of gain and every fraction of a dB in return loss matters. I am an RF/Microwave Design Engineer with a deep passion for pushing the boundaries of signal generation, amplification, and antenna design.
~ Architecting and simulating complex RF subsystems, including Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), Power Amplifiers (PA), Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCO), and bandpass filters.
~ Designing and optimizing antenna arrays (omnidirectional, log-periodic, and patch antennas) using CST Studio Suite and ANSYS HFSS.
~ Routing high-speed, impedance-controlled (50-ohm) RF traces on multi-layer PCBs in Altium Designer, ensuring minimal crosstalk and EMI.
~ Characterizing prototypes in the lab using Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers (up to 26 GHz), and high-speed oscilloscopes.
From 2018 to 2022, I worked as a Lead RF Engineer at a defense electronics firm, where I spearheaded the development of a wideband jamming module (700-1000 MHz) specifically tuned to defeat commercial FPV drone control links. More recently, I designed a circularly polarized helical antenna for mobile UAV detection systems. I have successfully taken over 15 complex RF PCB designs from initial simulation through to state certification and serial production.
I hold a Master's degree in Radio Engineering and possess fluent English (B2) for reading international component datasheets. I am seeking a senior engineering role in San Diego, CA, with a target compensation of $115,000 USD.
