An atmospheric, dimly lit gastropub in the bustling center of Dublin is hunting for a charismatic and knowledgeable Bartender to anchor our mahogany bar. We specialize in an ever-rotating selection of local Irish craft brews, rare single pot still whiskeys, and elevated pub fare. We need a hospitality professional who doesn't just pour pints, but curates an unforgettable, convivial experience for locals and tourists alike.
a) Delivering rapid, high-volume service during weekend rushes while maintaining the perfect two-part pint pour and proper head retention.
b) Educating patrons on the nuanced flavor profiles of our 24 draft lines, suggesting tailored beer flights, and guiding them through our extensive top-shelf whiskey menu.
c) Conducting daily line cleaning, changing heavy kegs in the cellar, and performing routine maintenance on our glass washer and draft system to ensure optimal taste.
d) Processing high-volume cash and card transactions via our Revel POS system, handling end-of-night till reconciliations with absolute accuracy.
e) Fostering a warm, engaging atmosphere, remembering regulars' preferences, and de-escalating any rowdy behavior with tact and professionalism.
Skills and experience we value:
a) At least 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in a craft beer venue, Irish pub, or high-end cocktail lounge.
b) A genuine passion for fermentation science, cask finishing, and the rich history of Irish distilling.
c) Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to thrive in a loud, fast-paced environment, and a polished, professional appearance.
d) A valid food safety and responsible beverage service certification.
