🔍 **Quality Control Sorter / Parts Inspector (Appliances)**
🏢 **About Us:** A large, modern home appliance manufacturing plant in Columbus is hiring Quality Control Sorters. We produce a wide range of consumer goods and guarantee high precision for every component.
🏭 **Core Responsibilities:**
1. Sort metal and plastic appliance components after the stamping, pressing, or casting stages.
2. Conduct thorough visual inspections of every part for visible defects, chips, cracks, deformations, or paint irregularities.
3. Perform instrumental checks of geometric dimensions using calipers and specialized gauges against blueprint standards.
4. Prep sorted, approved parts for the next stage (painting or electroplating) by cleaning and degreasing.
5. Reject defective parts, mark defects, and transport them to the rework/scrap zone.
6. Maintain primary logs of sorted products and document scrap volumes.
📋 **Requirements:**
1. Excellent visual acuity and attention to minute surface details.
2. Responsibility, stamina, and the ability to keep up with an active production line pace.
3. Prior experience in machine-building or instrument-making is a strong advantage (we also train beginners).
4. Strict adherence to safety rules and PPE requirements.
