🔥 **CNC Plasma Cutting Operator (Heavy Plate)**
🏢 **About Us:** A modern machine-building enterprise specializing in complex metal structures and industrial equipment components is hiring a qualified CNC Plasma Cutting Operator for our fabrication shop. Our production facility is located in Cleveland, OH.
⚠️ **Important Note:** The "remote" tag is strictly for cloud-based CAD/CAM file retrieval, remote program testing, and technical spec coordination. The actual operation of the gantry plasma cutting machine is purely physical and requires your constant on-site presence in our Cleveland shop.
⚙️ **Core Duties:**
1) Perform high-precision plasma cutting of thick metal plates on a modern gantry CNC machine.
2) Work from blueprints, load control programs, and adjust cutting parameters.
3) Independently select and replace machine consumables (plasma nozzles, electrodes, protective caps).
4) Monitor and regulate the pressure and flow of plasma-forming and shielding gases during cutting.
5) Perform primary cleaning of cut metal parts from dross, slag, and scale.
6) Control the geometric dimensions of cut parts using measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures).
7) Maintain the workstation, the machine, and the shop's dust extraction/aspiration system in proper technical and sanitary condition.
📋 **Requirements:**
1) Vocational/technical education (Metalworking or CNC Setup preferred).
2) 1+ year of experience operating a CNC plasma cutting machine or laser metal cutting equipment.
3) Ability to freely read complex mechanical blueprints and understand nesting/cutting tech cards.
4) Knowledge of plasma power source mechanics, CNC systems, and safe handling of high-pressure gas cylinders.
