🏢 **About Us:** A premium, curated wine and spirits boutique in San Francisco, CA, is hiring a Sales Consultant. Our portfolio features 300+ labels from France, Italy, Spain, and domestic California vineyards, plus a deep selection of single malts, blends, cognacs, gins, and aperitifs. Our clientele are connoisseurs or buyers seeking the perfect gift.
🥂 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Provide expert consultation: help guests pair wines with specific dishes, build gift sets, or select spirits based on mood and budget.
• Food & wine pairing: apply gastronomic pairing principles and consult with local restaurants and caterers on bulk purchases.
• Host tasting events: set up the floor, pour in the correct sequence, and guide guests through the tasting notes (bi-weekly events).
• Process transactions: handle POS, issue fiscal receipts, and package purchases in branded boxes. Verify tax stamps on all bottles.
• Merchandising & rotation: maintain pristine window displays, monitor storage conditions (temp/light), and update pricing.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Foundational knowledge of wine and spirits (or a deep passion to learn—we provide internal training and buyer-led tastings).
• Delicate, unobtrusive, and highly professional communication style.
• Impeccable grooming and articulate speech.

• Target Salary: $48,000 USD base + sales commission.
