🏢 **About Us:** A premier metal trading company in Pittsburgh, PA, with over 10 years in the market, our own warehouses, and direct partnerships with major US steel mills, is hiring a Wholesale Sales Director. We are launching a new division for large-scale industrial and construction supply, and we need a leader to build and scale this operation.
⚙️ **Core Responsibilities:**
• Drive volume sales of rebar, structural tubing, and flat-rolled steel.
• Lead the bidding process for public (gov) and private commercial tenders, developing custom proposals per project.
• Negotiate and close large framework contracts, aligning delivery schedules and financial guarantees.
• Manage accounts receivable, factoring, and bank guarantees.
• Coordinate with Logistics: organize flatbed and crane-truck deliveries to tight, active construction sites.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• 3+ years of B2B sales experience in steel, metal, or heavy building materials.
• Deep technical knowledge: hot-rolled vs. cold-rolled, ASTM standards, and structural engineering basics.
• Ability to read construction estimates and translate builder needs into metal specs.
• Proficient in ERP, Excel, and CRM. Comfortable with long, 6-month sales cycles and building long-term partnerships.
