🥛 **CDL Class A Milk Tanker Driver**
🏢 **About Us:** A major dairy processing plant in Madison, WI, is hiring a Milk Tanker Driver to haul raw milk from local family farms to our production facility. Because milk is a highly sensitive, perishable food product, strict adherence to temperature controls and sanitary protocols is non-negotiable.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Pre-Trip & Sanitation: Inspect the insulated tanker truck and verify the CIP (Clean-In-Place) wash logs. Ensure the tank is perfectly sanitized before loading.
• Farm Collection: Execute a daily route of 5-7 dairy farms. Connect hoses, operate the PTO pump, and monitor the flow meter.
• Quality Assurance: Draw raw milk samples for the lab (testing for butterfat, protein, somatic cell count, and antibiotics). Reject loads that fail to meet strict quality standards.
• Documentation: Manage weigh tickets, farm pickup logs, and sanitation records.
• Fleet Care: Perform thorough post-trip washouts and daily DOT mechanical inspections.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Valid CDL Class A (or B) with a clean MVR.
• 2+ years of tractor-trailer or heavy truck driving experience.
• Active Food Handler / Dairy Hauler certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of food-grade sanitary protocols and early morning scheduling.
