🚢 **Import Logistics Manager (Ocean Freight / Asia Trade)**
🏢 **About Us:** A high-volume import company in Long Beach, CA, is hiring an Import Logistics Manager to coordinate raw material and finished goods shipments from Asia (China, Vietnam, India) and Europe. We rely heavily on ocean container freight, and your goal is to ensure a seamless flow from the overseas factory floor to our US distribution center.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• End-to-End Coordination: Manage the lifecycle of FCL and LCL ocean shipments, from factory pickup to port drayage and final delivery.
• Port & Terminal Management: Track vessel ETAs via AIS, coordinate with terminal operators, and manage chassis availability to avoid demurrage and per diem fees.
• Customs & Documentation: Prepare and verify Bills of Lading (B/L), ISF 10+2 filings, and commercial invoices for US Customs clearance.
• Rate Negotiation: Audit and negotiate ocean freight rates, terminal handling charges (THC), and drayage fees with steamship lines.
• Exception Handling: Resolve port congestion, customs exams, and rollover delays proactively.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• 3+ years of experience in international ocean freight logistics.
• Deep understanding of port operations, container tracking, and CBP import regulations.
• Fluent English for daily communication with overseas agents and carriers.
• Proficiency in TMS and advanced Excel for freight auditing.
