Description

🏢 **About Us:**
Our custom fabrication shop in San Diego, CA, specializes in manufacturing bespoke food processing and commercial display equipment for restaurants, bakeries, and grocery chains. We don't do high-volume conveyor work—today you're building the chassis for a combi-oven out of AISI 304 stainless, tomorrow you're welding an aluminum display tray. The work is diverse but demands jeweler-level precision, as most welds are left exposed and visible to the customer.

📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Work with thin-gauge metals (1-1.5 mm wall thickness); controlling heat input to prevent warping is critical.
• Independently prep edges, select filler wire diameters, and tune pulse settings on our Miller and Lincoln machines.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings; know when a joint requires full hermetic penetration vs. strategic tack welds.
• Minimal grinding allowed—the weld must be clean, uniform, and visually appealing from the start.

🎓 **Requirements:**
• Proven experience in TIG welding thin-gauge stainless steel and aluminum.
• Ability to work autonomously without a supervisor hovering over your shoulder.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing "show-quality" welds.

✨ **What We Offer:**
• Target Salary: $60,000 USD annually.
• Full-time, on-site role in our San Diego, CA fabrication shop.
• A relaxed but professional shop environment that values craftsmanship over speed.
