I build partition and box frames from metal studs (CD/UD or UW/CW profiles) depending on construction type (ceiling or wall), with spacing appropriate for the weight and thickness of future cladding. For double-layer partitions or moisture-resistant drywall in bathrooms, I select heavier-duty profiles with extra rigidity to prevent structural movement over time.
I attach drywall with screws at proper spacing and head depth to avoid damaging the paper layer. Joints between sheets are reinforced with mesh tape and mudded in 2-3 coats with intermediate sanding—this prevents joint cracking even with humidity fluctuations in the room.
Inside partitions, I install mineral wool for sound insulation between rooms when needed. In boxes, I conceal wiring, ventilation ducts, or heating pipes while maintaining service access to shut-off valves if required by the project.
